An extremely wet and muddy club run of about six and a half miles this morning with a dozen or so club-mates meant we ran every day in December. Brett and Sue laid on home-made veggie pies with mash and ace mushy peas for lunch afterwards and this made for a good start to the last day of the year. I have enjoyed running everyday (with hindsight) and there's a decent chance we will continue 'streaking' into the foreseeable future

20 in 20
A headtorcher at Bolton Abbey on Tuesday night, the usual club run last night from the White Lion (albeit reduced to three miles) plus a road run tonight and we're still on course to run every day in December. My cold feels like it's finally clearing up and the prospect of more runs in the light during the Christmas holidays including a trip to the Lakes has lifted my flagging spirits no end!

Stoop fell race
We're plodding on with the 'run every day in December' challenge and completed run 17 last night with yet another 'three and a bit miler' round the village with headtorchs. However, on Sunday I made it over to Penistone Hill above Haworth for Dave Woodhead's Stoop fell race. It is very hard to know how well I did because I've had a cold for at least a week and comparing previous times is pointless because the going was awful. The main thing is I enjoyed it immensely
After the race I went over to Milly's to celebrate her 40th birthday with some of her work-mates and our club-mates. Fine pies were on offer along with Copper Dragon beers and a nice couple of hours were spent there before coming home to a cosey night in front of the logburner with Stef, who'd spent the day doing Christmasy thing rather than racing

13 in 13
It was bitterly cold for tonight's run and to be honest I'm sick to death of running every day. However, Stef is back tomorrow night and after a change of plans we have a weekend at home so hopefully we'll be running in the light and off road on Saturday and Sunday! All being well we'll do Dave Woodhead's Stoop race on Sunday and help celebrate our friend Milly's birthday with her and our club-mates

Ten in ten
Now we're up to ten runs in ten days. Stef is away this week but texted me earlier to say she'd been out, and I'm not long back for a relatively brisk run round our 'somewhere between three and four' mile road loop. I started with a cold over the weekend and really didn't fancy going out tonight, especially after a shocking run yesterday but I felt much better than expected and the run every day in December challenge is a third done!
