Worthy
Tussock and I walked the Worth Way today. I ran round it three times in the distant past with various KCAC pals but today was my first time walking. We only set off the do the northern half but got to Crossroads and carried on as much as anything because it was such a perfect day to be out. I've run every day this week and nipped out for a mile and a half with Stef before tea

Comeback (yet again)
One of my Leicester customers, Mohan, said to me last month, that I'd put weight on. "Too many pakoras Andrew probably", he went on, helpfully, "and lay off the aloo paratha", (he knows me well). This led to yet another 'running comeback', and so far I've managed three runs per week for a few weeks. Tussock is always up for a run out, as you might guess!

World Rivers Day
Life is manic at present with our impending house moving getting ever nearer. Stef's been brilliant organising our packing and suggesting well-timed breaks to take Tussock out for walks. Sunday was World Rivers Day so a walk by the Wharfe (maybe my last as a Wharfedale resident?) seemed appropriate

Heaven on Earth
We drove up the dale and then over to Arncliffe in Littondale today. I love Wharfedale but Littondale is at least as beautiful, and generally gets far fewer visitors. We walked around 10 miles including crossing the watershed twice, had lunch at the splendid West Winds tearooms in Buckden and nipped into the Falcon for a pint when we had finished. The heather is in full bloom at the moment. All together a splendid day out

Our Tussock
Our Tussock has never been fitter. He'll be three in August and although he's now physically matured he's still daft as a brush. People have told us, "they settle down after four", "they change" etc, but I pray he'll always be the affectionate, loving, gentle, polite but energetic giddy kipper he's been ever since he first arrived with us back in November 2014

Excalibur marathon
Stef, Tuss and I ran the Excalibur marathon in Wales on Sunday. Stef ran well and Tuss breezed round getting compliments galore. Hewas awarded a medal and t-shirt by race organisers (and our friends) Pat and Nigel from Runnershub plus a huge sausage from the caterers. I finished with a sore hamstring having been reasonsbly okay if very slow until the last three miles or so. The only other dog / human team in the race finished an hour or so ahead of us but I think Stef and Tussock could have probably matched them without me if I'm honest
The race was fantastically well organised with a lovely route starting beneath Moel Famau. Support from NE Wales search and rescue was outstanding too. We will definitely be doing the event again next year
