I got up early this morning and went down to the bird hides on the Axe estuary. Highlights were shoveler, the local over-wintering common sandpiper and a very handsome pintail drake. The weather has been decent all weekend down here and I watched the sun come up this morning from the new hide by the tram lines. It was beautiful!
