Weekend in Littondale - the Falcon I
We spent the weekend at the Falcon at Arncliffe, Littondale . Hospitality and food were outstanding. Littondale is a great favourite of mine. It might possibly be even better than Wharfdale!

A day in the North Lakes
We went up to Keswick on New Year's Eve. After walking up Dodd (a new Wainwright for us all) we had a potter round Keswick and a great late lunch at the always reliable Casa Bella
Tuss has been on a diet and the subsequent weight loss plus a busy Christmas in Devon with daily runs on the beach meant he's never been as fit. He had a complete blast in the woods that surround the fell. I've enjoyed my non-fishing time outdoors of late too and just maybe I might possibly get back into some long walks or even runs (!), for the first time in several years
